“I Believe” in FFA

Standard

That’s the theme of this year’s National FFA Convention. It’s also the first two words of each of the five paragraphs of the FFA Creed.

I believe in the future of agriculture…

I believe that to live and work on a good farm, or to be engaged in other agricultural pursuits, is pleasant as well as challenging…

I believe in leadership from ourselves and respect from others…

I believe in less dependence on begging and more power in bargaining; in the life abundant and enough honest wealth to help make it so…

I believe that American agriculture can and will hold true to the best traditions of our national life…

All FFA members share these specific beliefs. That’s what makes the organization so special. We believe in the future of agriculture.

This week I have been interning  in the media room. It has been a fantastic experience and life-changing internship. I have met country singer Joe Diffie and National Ag Secretary Tom Vilsak. I have walked back and forth from Conseco Field House and Lucas Oil Stadium capturing interviews with FFA members, alumni and presenters.

-AND-

I got to watch a segment of an RFD-TV…LIVE!

It has been an amazing week to say the least.

Myself along with two other people interned in the newsroom. We conducted more than one hundred interviews from the week.

If you want to hear the interviews, visit the FFA Radio room website.

I met Joe Diffie.
